Joël spent high school playing in a garage band and working for stage and event companies setting up major performances. After studying Electroacoustics at Concordia University in Montreal, Joël worked with acclaimed record label Cumbancha where he was connected with Audio Institute Haïti. Over the course of four years, Joël designed a 2-year curriculum in audio recording working with directors at Nimbus School of Recording and, MusiTechnic Recording Institute Montreal, as well as leading advanced studio courses and being house engineer in their world-class facilities.
In 2018 Joël returned to Montreal and has been working as a free-lance producer and audio-engineer, actively involved in the music scene and regularly working with studios and event promoters such as CULT Nation, Moonshine, Growve MTL and many more.
Joël has worked as producer & recording engineer for numerous artists in Canada, the US, the Caribbean and South America, Europe and West Africa. He is fluent in English, French, Haitian Creole, and basic Spanish, and has a deep eclectic passion for music and sound.
