is a French-American recording-engineer, producer, singer/songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. His experience ranges from recording RAM Haïti’s 2016 hit Kanaval “Gras a Sent Kle” to co-producing “Pozé” an intimate video series, with acoustic sessions from Jackson Browne for his latest single “Standing in the Breach” to international jazz queen Emeline Michel.
After studying Electroacoustics at Concordia University in Montreal, Joël worked with acclaimed world-music record label Cumbancha where he was connected with Audio Institute Haïti, a post-secondary college designed to give Haitian students advanced technical skills in recording technology. Over the course of three years, Joël designed a 2-year curriculum working with curriculum directors at Nimbus School of Recording and Media School and, MusiTechnic Recording Institute Montreal, as well as leading advanced class room and studio courses in world-class facilities.
Joël has worked as producer & recording engineer for numerous artists in Montreal, Vermont, Haiti, the Caribbean and the world. He is fluent in English, French, and Haitian Creole and has a deep eclectic passion for music and sound.
